A Letter to My Future Self
Junior Jacques
Picture

“Dear future me,
You are a great learner and listener, so put that to work to become a guide. Or maybe you could own your own lodge in the future. Stuff happens, don’t let that stop you, ‘cause you’re unstoppable. And I want you to meet everyone you met this week back at the lodge again, ‘cause you don’t let great people go. Scratch that, you don’t let family go. Life is short. The faster the better. You will be great!!”

Junior Jacques, 16 years old, Abaco, Bahamas.
Junior is fully invested in the sport of f ly fishing and hopes to one day become a guide or own a lodge. Find him on Instagram @jacquesjunior667

In the final days of each program, students are encouraged to draft a letter to self to capture the essence of who they are in that very moment. This time capsule is mailed to students at a later date to remind them of the growth they experienced during their time with Fish for Change.
