Fish For Change Trip Leaders are program alumni and run our programs in the field.
Knox Kronenberg
Fly Fishing has been the anchor in Knox’s life that continues to steer him in the right direction. Knox grew up competing on the USA Youth Fly Fishing Team and has had the opportunity to film TV shows in Belize, Texas, and Guatemala. He currently attends school in Austin, Texas and will be graduating with a degree in Geography and Sustainability. The essence of Knox’s well being is fly fishing. YALENA NATASHA RENDON DOERR
I come from a small town called, Punta Allen Quintana Roo. I grew up with my dad as a fly fishing Guid fully surrounded by permit my entire 18 years of life.
I’m currently studying literature at Mexico’s Bellas Artes (Fine Art school) in Merida, Yucatán. Fly fishing is an art in its own way and writing for me is like giving it a voice. I have always found a deep sense of connection and fulfillment in this timeless pursuit. With a lifelong love for nature and a keen eye for detail, my passion for fly fishing goes beyond just catching fish - it is about immersing yourself in the serenity of the outdoors, embracing the rhythm of the ocean, and appreciating the friendships you make a long the way. I am beyond exited and grateful to be a part of F4C, I hope to help teach the future generations the importance of sharing the unique perspective that only fly fishing can give us, and continue to use this wonderful sport as a way to connect, learn and inspire! |
Bo Wiltshire
Bo Wiltshire is an Austin, Texas native. Fishing and hunting at a young age served as a stepping stone to what is now his deep appreciation for experiencing all the outdoors has to offer.
He has been participating in the Fish For Change program since the summer of 2016, and is now one of our Student Leaders. Helping guide students through the program and knowing firsthand what they’re experiencing is a unique opportunity that Bo takes great pride in. He is an Eagle Scout that is currently studying in the Honors Business program at Colorado State University. With home being in Texas and school being in Colorado, Bo has opportunities to target anything from trout to bass to redfish – all with a fly rod. |
Mason McPherson
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Mason grew up fishing for bass on local ponds.
After a couple summers in Colorado and a year of guiding in Montana, fly fishing became a passion and a priority for him. Mason studied Marketing and Spanish at the University of Oklahoma, and is now pursuing his Masters in Business Administration. Mason’s previous experience with nonprofits, traveling, and the outdoors inspired him to dive into Fish For Change and experience it firsthand fishing for baby tarpon in Campeche, Mexico. He hopes to continue using fly fishing as a platform for conservation, leadership, and teaching the future generations on the importance of protecting our ecosystems. |
kevin jackson

Kevin Jackson hails from Pennsylvania, where he cut his teeth fishing for trout in the numerous spring creeks. A lifelong love of the ocean led him to New England, where he attended Roger Williams University, receiving degrees in biology and chemistry (along with an unhealthy obsession with striped bass). From there he worked as a fisheries biologist with the National Marine Fisheries Service for eleven years, before a few twists of fate led him south to Costa Rica. Now he's down in Central America, enjoying the diverse range of species that can be caught in the tropics on the fly, and excited to share his knowledge with the next generation of anglers.
